MANCHESTER CITY are reportedly plotting another raid on Leicester to bring left-back Ben Chilwell to the Etihad.

After signing Riyad Mahrez in the summer for a club-record deal, Pep Guardiola could look to acquire another star player from the Foxes.

And with Benjamin Mendy nursing another knee injury and not expected to return to first team action until February, City may be forced to dip into the market in January.

According to the Mirror, the Premier League champions are eyeing up a £50million move for the England international.

Though Leicester are unlikely to accept an offer considering Chilwell only extended his contract in October to keep him at the King Power Stadium until 2024.

But with Mendy restricted to just 16 top-flight starts since joining from Monaco last season, City are believed to be reconsidering their options at full-back.

Chilwell, 21, has racked up five caps for the England national team

Guardiola currently has to rely on midfielders Fabian Delph or Oleksandr Zinchenko to fill in at left-back, or Danilo has to switch across from right-back.

Chilwell, 21, has enjoyed a fantastic start to the season with the Foxes, appearing in every Premier League game so far.

He has chipped in with two assists for Claude Puel's side, and has established himself as England's first choice left-back.

And he will be looking to make an impression once again when Leicester travel to Selhurst Park on Monday to face Crystal Palace.
