CESC FABREGAS could reportedly be set to leave Chelsea next month, with the playmaker said to be looking to terminate his contract.
AC Milan and Monaco are interested, but his potential departure means the Blues will need to fill the void left behind by their Spanish assist king… here, SunSport looks at seven players across various positions who could end up at Stamford Bridge in a bid to inject some more creativity into Maurizio Sarri’s side.
Cesc Fabregas could leave Chelsea, leaving them short on the creative front
Isco is unhappy at Real Madrid and could be used in a swap for Eden Hazard
ISCO
THE Spanish playmaker could be set to leave Real Madrid after losing his place in the starting XI.
Isco has long been linked with the Blues and could be heading to London in a swap deal involving Eden Hazard.
He can play in a variety of positions and could help Sarri field a number of different attacking variants.
Hirving Lozano has put in some top performances for club and country
HIRVING LOZANO
PSV EINDHOVEN’S tricky winger is a hidden gem tucked away in the Dutch league.
He has been starring on the international scene for Mexico.
And Lozano is also capable of playing as a No10, with his incredible speed also making him a physical player too.
Aaron Ramsey will be leaving Arsenal on a free transfer next summer
AARON RAMSEY
THE Welshman will leave Arsenal on a free transfer next summer after being told his contract will not be renewed.
Ramsey is able to talk to foreign clubs over a deal next month, with Juventus and Bayern Munich interested.
However, Chelsea have a long-standing interest in the ace and could be able to tempt him to Stamford Bridge.
Sandro Tonali has been hailed the new Andrea Pirlo
SANDRO TONALI
HE may only be playing in Italy’s second division, but the Brescia playmaker has already been hailed as the new Andrea Pirlo.
Tonali is just 18 years old but has already forced his way into Roberto Mancini’s international set-up too.
He is definitely one for the future and could be the perfect long-term replacement for Fabregas at the base of Sarri’s midfield three.
Denis Suarez is struggling for games at Barcelona and was eyed by Maurizio Sarri at Napoli
DENIS SUAREZ
BARCELONA’S mercurial winger has cut an unhappy figure in recent months after failing to get games at the Nou Camp.
He is believed to be a target for Sarri, who tried signing the Spaniard at Napoli.
And with Suarez no longer in Barca’s plans, he could also be available for a bargain fee.
Andreas Pereira could be tempted by a move to the capital
ANDREAS PEREIRA
ADMITTEDLY an ambitious target, but Chelsea and Manchester United appear to be on good terms when it comes to transfers.
The Red Devils have poached Nemanja Matic and Juan Mata in recent years.
And with games hard to come by at Old Trafford, Pereira could be tempted to jump ship should an offer from London arrive.
Nicolo Barella can play in a number of different midfield roles
NICOLO BARELLA
ANOTHER Italian youngster who could do a wonderful job under Sarri.
21-year-old Barella is another technically gifted central midfielder taking his homeland by storm.
He is also willing to run his heart out for the team and could potentially play role in the centre of the pitch.
