Evans expected to retain Dembele as Posh push for promotion

Peterborough are likely to keep faith with the winning formula evident in their 4-0 victory at Accrington when they host Scunthorpe.

Boss Steve Evans made three changes by bringing in left-back Tyler Denton, forward Siriki Dembele and midfield Louis Reed and was rewarded with a first win in six games.

Dembele is set to continue alongside Ivan Toney in attack as part of the new-look formation.

Seb Bassong, Callum Cooke and Jamie Walker continue to be sidelined by injury.

Scunthorpe are assessing the fitness of forward Andy Dales and defender James Perch after they picked up injuries in the 1-0 home win over Wycombe.

Dales came on as a replacement but then had to go off himself in the 73rd minute due to a neck problem.

Perch finished the game but is struggling after taking an unspecified knock late in the game.

“We have a lot of points to play for. If we cut out the elementary mistakes we give ourselves a chance to win games,” boss Stuart McCall said.
