West Ham hosted Birmingham City on Saturday in the third round of the FA Cup.
The Hammers headed into the game on a slight dip in form after winning just one of their last four league games.
However, West Ham are still having a decent season and sit just three points off 7th place.
As for Birmingham, they are currently 8th in the Championship and have not lost any of their last five league games.
So, West Ham were by no means guaranteed an easy win on Saturday against lower league opposition.
But it would be West Ham who would strike first as Marko Arnautovic put the Hammers 1-0 up inside just two minutes.
Andy Carroll would then get West Ham’s second of the game in the 91st minute to make the final score 2-0.
The Birmingham clash also saw Samir Nasri make his West Ham debut.
West Ham fans threw horse manure at Birmingham fans
Despite a solid 2-0 win and a promising debut from Nasri, there was one big negative for West Ham on Saturday.
That negative came after their game and involved a small group of West Ham fans.
Videos have merged prior to the Birmingham game that show a few West Ham fans picking up horse manure and throwing it at Birmingham fans.
