Callum Hudson-Odoi warned

Marcos Alonso has told Callum Hudson-Odoi not to join Bayern Munich this month.

"He is a good player, but he is very young," Alonso said.

"He needs to have patience and to be hungry and fight for a place in this team.

"That is all he needs to do, he has all the conditions to be a great player, now it is up to him to fight for a place here or try to find more minutes somewhere else.

"Bayern Munich? We are Chelsea, another great team, the Premier League is the most competitive league in the world, I don't know why someone would go to Bayern Munich.

Mourinho wanted Arnautovic

Jose Mourinho wanted Marko Arnautovic and would have urged Manchester United to launch a bid for him had he still been in charge this month.

Arnautovic is the subject of a bid from China and his agent has asked the club to accept the offer.

Arnautovic is West Ham’s key man though and the club are keen to hold onto him beyond this month.

However the Telegraph report that United would also have been in the mix for him had Mourinho still been in charge.

Emery coy on Banega

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has said Ever Banega is “a very good player” but refused to reveal whether or not the Argentine is a transfer target.

The Gunners have been strongly linked with Barcelona’s Denis Suarez of late but have struggled to find the funds.

And Emery has also long been tipped to move for Sevilla play-maker Banega, who he worked with in Sevilla and with Valencia.

But the Spaniard was coy when asked about Banega in a press conference.

Emery said: “I know this player and he is a very good player. I cannot tell you more.”

Lampard makes Liverpool admission

Derby manager Frank Lampard says he has had no contact from Liverpool over Harry Wilson.

The 21-year-old winger has enjoyed great success at Pride Park, scoring 10 goals and adding two assists in 24 appearances.

The Wales international’s form saw some suggestions that Jurgen Klopp could recall him to his parent club this month due to a clause in the deal.

But Lampard expects the forward - who is up for the Championship’s December Player of the Month award - to see out the season with his playoff-chasing outfit.

"I have heard nothing from Liverpool, which is good news,” he said of Wilson. “No news is good news.

"I hope he stays with us because I think it (the loan) has been good for all parties, so far. In terms of his individual performance, 10 goals is a great return.

"His spectacular goals have been great on the eye but my biggest pleasure is seeing his performances in the past month.

"His all-round game, the energy, the personality to receive the ball and be pivotal in the game has gone up a notch, and I think there are more notches to go.

"That is credit to Harry and hopefully he can continue that progress in the second half of the season."

Everton want Chelsea's Batshuayi

Everton are keen on signing Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi but will only make their move if they can sign him on a permanent deal.

That's according to Sky Sports, with the Belgian striker set to cut short his loan with Valencia having failed to impress in Spain.

Everton are looking to offload one of Cenk Tosun or Oumar Niasse this month and will make a move for Batshuayi if they can.

Yet that will depend on the Toffees securing a permanent deal because they have Kurt Zouma on loan from Chelsea already and cannot secure a temporary agreement due to loan restrictions.

Dyche shoots down Liverpool rumours

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has rejected the suggestion Liverpool have been in touch about signing James Tarkowski this month.

With Premier League leaders Liverpool struggling with injuries at the back, they have been linked with a winter window move for England international Tarkowski.

But Dyche insists Jurgen Klopp's side have not been in contact - though he did not completely rule out any move.

"I'm not suggesting it's rubbish, I'm suggesting it's a new one on me," Dyche said.

"Virtually all players here have been linked with someone and they get used to it.

"Tarky has certainly had that many times and I think he's going about business very well at the moment. We haven't had inquiries for anyone."

Chelsea reject Willian offer

Chelsea have rejected an offer from Barcelona to swap Willian for Malcom plus a cash fee, according to reports.

The Spanish giants only signed Malcom in the summer, paying £38million, but are willing to move him on already per the Telegraph.

They report that Willian - who was the subject of rejected Barca bids in the summer - is still valued at a higher fee by Chelsea.

That's despite the fact the winger turned 30 recently and only has 18 months left on his contract.

Fans suggest Willian deal

Chelsea fans have claimed Barcelona signing Willian would have helped them against Levante tonight.

Barcelona went 2-0 down to Levante by half time in their Copa del Rey clash on Thursday.

The Nou Camp club have been linked with a £50m cash-plus-player deal for Chelsea’s Willian.

And Blues supporters were quick to point out that the player could have helped them tonight.

"If you had willian you would be winning,” one fan put.

Another wrote: “Willian needed.”

A third said: “Willian wouldn't let that happen uno”

And another tweeted: “Willian would’ve tracked back for that”

Birmingham EXCLUSIVE

Birmingham have recalled Greg Stewart from his successful loan spell at Kilmarnock, Express Sport can reveal.

Stewart has been scoring for fun at Rugby Park, helping Killie compete for an unlikely Scottish Premiership title.

But the striker is set to rejoin Garry Monk in the Championship as Birmingham battle under a transfer embargo.

Express sSport understands the 28-year-old will head back south of the border by the end of the week.

And he could end up moving to Sunderland before the transfer window is out.

Willian to Barcelona

Barcelona have made a player-plus-cash offer for Chelsea star Willian worth £50m.

That is the stunning claim coming from the Mail tonight.

Willian is one of Chelsea’s top performers and has been chased by Barcelona in the past.

The Blues are tipped to lose Eden Hazard to Real Madrid in the summer, while Alvaro Morata is expected to head to Spain either this month or at the end of the season.

And the report claims William could also be off, with Barca offering Malcom plus £50m for the Brazilian.

Malcom only joined Barca from Bordeaux last summer after the Nou Camp club hijacked Roma’s deal.

But he has failed to impress and could already be set to leave the Catalan side.

Sarri disagrees with Chelsea over Barella

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is facing a tough test convincing Blues executives to sign Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella.

Speaking to Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth, Sky Italy’s Pensante said: “At present we think Napoli are the advanced, compared to the other clubs.

"Also we know that Sarri really likes the player but Chelsea are not so convinced by him.

"It’s more Sarri than Chelsea at the moment so maybe Sarri needs to convince Chelsea that the player is worth trying and trying again, before other clubs close the deal.

"At present the most likely option for him is to stay with Cagliari until the end of the season.”

Man Utd uncertainty

Juan Mata admits he isn’t sure what the future holds as he enters the last six months of his Manchester United contract.

"I don't know," he told Spanish publication AS.

"I've been in England for a good while, in a league that I'm well accustomed to and where I've adapted well, but it's true that times you miss home, your family, your friends.

"But I don't know if I'll return to Spain in the near future.

"I'm calm [about the situation at United]. I'm at the fantastic club that is Manchester United, one of the biggest in the world.

"I have to think about the short term and do well from now on."

Arsenal want Kosovo gem

Arsenal are reportedly set for a summer transfer battle with Juventus for the signing of Donis Avdijaj.

Avdijaj is a striker, currently at Dutch side Willem II where he has scored four league goals this season.

Kosovon outlet Telegrafi claim that Unai Emery will battle it out with Juventus for the 22-year-old's signing in the summer.

The former Schalke man will be a free agent come the end of the season with Willem II unable to agree a new deal with the forward.

Coutinho needs to impress at Barcelona

Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho needs to impress in the Copa del Rey at Levante tonight or questions will start being raised about his future.

That is the warning from El Pais, who claim manager Ernesto Valverde doesn’t know what to do with the playmaker.

Coutinho has lost his place in the Barcelona side to Ousmane Dembele and Arthur Melo.

He has started just one of their last six games but should get a run out tonight.

And the report claims that Coutinho ends to take his chances when starting matches - otherwise the problems will deepen.

Manchester United were sensationally linked with a move for Coutinho earlier in this transfer window.

But those rumours have now died down.

Arnautovic and West Ham at war over transfer

Marko Arnautovic’s brother has released a statement confirming the striker wants to quit West Ham.

"West Ham bought Marko for peanuts. They paid £20m for him, which is nothing in the current market,” read Danijel’s statement, which he gave to talkSPORT.

"They bought him to keep them in the Premier League last season and he did that. He took every award at the club; best player, signing of the season and the players’ award.

"Now West Ham have a fantastic offer. It is close to double what they paid for him.

"He wants to go to a new market and challenge for titles. This is what he wants.”

West Ham responded with a statement of their own.

It read: “Marko Arnautovic has a contract and we fully expect him to honour it. He is not for sale.”

Emery on Suarez deal

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has confirmed the club can only bring in Denis Suarez from Barcelona on loan this month.

"We can’t sign with payment for one player,” he said.

"We can only loan players. The club is working. The club is telling me each moment that different situations can happen for recruitment.

"But at the moment I don’t have new news on that.

"I don’t know now his [Suarez’s] situation. But we can only sign on a loan and I know the club is working for the possibility of players who can help us with this condition.”

Chong snubbed Chelsea for Man Utd

Manchester United beat Chelsea to the signing of youngster Tahith Chong, it has been revealed.

Former head of youth recruitment at United, Derek Langley, has explained how he managed to sign the Dutch starlet and beat the Blues.

"Tahith was spotted when he was a 14/15-year-old playing in a tournament at Carrington. What used to be the Nike Premier Cup,” he told the Manchester Evening News.

"He had already been tipped by our scouts in Holland and basically I followed him at that tournament and then I followed him all over Europe.

"Tahith's parents would be the first to tell you that his form dipped slightly due to growth issues so at that time I just held fire.

"I carried on watching him and realised his form was coming back.

"He was on the verge of signing for Chelsea and I managed to convince his parents and the boy his future lied at United.”
