Steven Naismith returns from suspension for Hearts for the visit of St Johnstone.
David Vanecek will be in and around the squad despite being deemed not fit enough by manager Craig Levein after the midweek defeat to Dundee.
Striker Uche Ikpeazu (foot) and Peter Haring (hernia) are both getting closer to comebacks.
St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright has no fresh injury concerns for the trip to Tynecastle.
Long-term absentees Brian Easton (groin) and Drey Wright (knee) remain out.
Michael O’Halloran could make the first start of his third Saints spell at Tynecastle after making his comeback from a stint in Australia off the bench against Livingston in midweek.
