Solari takes on Ajax in the Round of 16
Real Madrid coach Santiago Solari talked about the upcoming Champions League tie against Ajax in understandably confident mood.
Results have drastically improved during the last month along with performances across the squad, with Saturday's derby win over Atletico Madrid evidence of the recent transformation.
The Argentine gave some philosophical comments which offer some insight into how he has managed to turn the tide.
"Football is an almighty provider of hopes and dreams, and playing in the top division is the dream you have when you are a little kid," said Solari, speaking at a UEFA press conference.
"Sometimes dreams do not come true and hopes are crushed, and football makes you have to start over and pick yourself back up but it also gives you the chance, with every subsequent match, to dream again," he stated.
Such a persistent approach has helped Los Blancos' turn a corner and many now are even talking about Real Madrid's purple patch helping them to secure a historic fourth straight Champions League title.
"A fourth consecutive Champions League? Nothing is impossible for Real Madrid," said a confident Solari.
Los Blancos take on Ajax in the first leg of the second round tie on Wednesday 13 February at the Amsterdam ArenA.
