Marco Reus will miss the game with a thigh injury
Borussia Dortmund captain Marco Reus will miss the first leg of the Champions League last 16 tie against Tottenham on Wednesday due to a thigh injury.
England winger Jadon Sancho, 18, who starred in Reus' absence against Hoffenheim, scoring in a 3-3 draw, will be expected to fill in again on his return to London.
Reus has been Dortmund's most prolific player this season, scoring 13 goals and setting up nine more in 19 Bundesliga games, but he injured a thigh muscle last Tuesday in a German Cup loss to Werder Bremen.
Sancho scored against Hoffenheim in Reus' absence
Dortmund official Sebastian Kehl said: "We would of course have liked to have him in London, because his presence is a bit intimidating for the opponent. But we'll compensate for his absence."
It's unclear if Reus will return in time for the next league game at Nuremberg in a week's time, or the second leg against Tottenham in Dortmund, which will be played on March 5.
