Matt Taylor poised to return for Swindon

Veteran full-back Matt Taylor is poised to return for Swindon for their Sky Bet League Two visit of Grimsby to the County Ground.
Taylor missed Town’s previous match on February 12 – the club sitting out last weekend’s action due to Newport’s involvement in the FA Cup – with a knock to his calf sustained a few days previously in a 3-2 win at MK Dons.
Defender Luke Woolfenden is also set for his first game in four weeks, although he has only missed two matches during that period due to Swindon’s fixture schedule.
The centre-back has been struggling with a tight calf, but should at least be in the squad for the clash with the Mariners.
Grimsby will be without club captain John Welsh for a second successive match due to a hamstring strain sustained in training earlier this month.
Manager Michael Jolley is hoping Welsh may be fit enough to return for next Saturday’s home game with Cambridge.
Elliott Whitehouse continues to make progress from a ruptured cruciate ligament that has sidelined the midfielder for the season, although Jolley claims it remains to be seen whether he will return before the end of the campaign.
Despite an unchanged starting line-up for the last two games – helping to stretch the side’s winning run to four matches – Jolley has not ruled out making changes.
