MANCHESTER UNITED flop Alexis Sanchez has again been criticised by fans.

United were 1-0 down at home to Southampton at half-time with the Chilean struggling to make an impact.

In some ways, it was a showing that summed up Sanchez’s time at Old Trafford since his move from Arsenal last January.

Despite arriving in Manchester with a strong reputation after impressing with the Gunners, he has scored just six goals for United.

He is one of few that haven’t been revitalised by the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as Manchester United manager.

And with United struggling against Southampton, fans were quick to criticise the former Barcelona man.

One wrote: “Sanchez does not deserve 5% of his wages, what a fraud he's been for us.”

Another raged: “Sanchez useless once again. Lukaku's first touch is awful as ever.”

A third commented: “Sanchez is finished. Andreas Pereira is nowhere near good enough. Lukaku us halfway to Juve.”

While another angry fan wrote: “Sanchez should go next season. He is finished.”

And a fifth simply posted: “Sanchez is finished huh.”

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes recently demanded Sanchez improved.

“They’ve got a chance [to finish fourth], obviously if Chelsea win their came in hand they go above them,” Scholes said.

“But with the way they are going, the injuries could be an issue and they still have some big games, but we need to see how they recover.

“Sanchez has to come into form, we know that, if United are going to improve.

“It’s going to be tight, but United need Champions League football.

“They want to be in the best competition and that is exactly what Ole will be targeting for next season.”
