MK Dons are expected to start Kieran Agard when they host Stevenage on Saturday.
He came off the bench with them 3-0 down in Tuesday’s defeat at Morecambe to almost inspire a comeback, scoring twice before their eventual 4-2 defeat.
Fellow substitutes Stephen Walker and Robbie Simpson are also pushing to start.
Mathieu Baudry, Baily Cargill, Jordan Moore-Taylor and George Williams are all expected to again miss out, owing to injury.
Stevenage’s Mark McKee could be in contention to start should manager Dino Maamria wish to make changes to a winning team.
On Tuesday they won 2-0 at home to Swindon, but McKee continued his return from a five-month absence with another substitute appearance.
The on-loan Jordan Gibson is also pushing to start, having also made an impact as a substitute.
Danny Newton and Jamal Campbell-Ryce could again miss out through injury.
