Barnet held by Hartlepool

Shaq Coulthirst came closest to a winning goal as relegation-threatened Barnet were held to a goalless draw by Hartlepool.
Barnet had the best chance of the early stages as Dan Sweeney’s header from a corner was clawed away by goalkeeper Scott Loach.
Dave Tarpey saw a free-kick kept out by Loach before fellow forward Coulthirst’s 25-yard shot clipped a post as the Bees dominated.
Pools responded and defender Fraser Kerr’s 30-yard drive brought a fine save from Mark Cousins and Josh Hawkes was not too far away with another effort from distance.
Liam Noble brought another save from Cousins at the start of the second half, while Coulthirst somehow fired wide from a couple of yards for Barnet.
Myles Anderson cleared a Tarpey header off the line and Hartlepool striker Nicke Kabamba had an effort ruled out for offside as the game remained goalless.
