Bromley send Braintree a step closer to relegation
Posted Sunday, March 24, 2019 by PA
Braintree’s National League miseries continued as they were beaten 4-2 at home by mid-table Bromley.
The division’s bottom club were three goals down at the break after strikes from George Porter, Luke Coulson and Frankie Raymond.
Kodi Lyons-Foster’s header pulled one back for the Iron in the second half, before JJ Hooper restored Bromley’s three-goal lead.
Mohammed Sagaf scored a superb late goal for the hosts, but it was not enough to prevent a fifth defeat in six games.
Braintree remain at the foot of the table, 15 points adrift of safety with just six games remaining.
