Caley Thistle stretch winning run

Inverness extended their Ladbrokes Championship winning run to three matches following a 3-2 victory over basement club Alloa.
The hosts dictated play for majority of the match, with Coll Donaldson and Liam Polworth letting fly from range in the early exchanges before Aaron Doran’s 11th goal of the season deservedly gave Inverness the lead in the 29th minute.
The home side doubled their advantage five minutes later from the penalty spot after Jordan White was felled in the area by Iain Flannigan, with Sean Walsh converting.
White got his name on the scoresheet just after the hour mark when he latched onto Polworth’s slide-rule pass before lifting it over the onrushing Neil Parry to put his team 3-0 ahead and seemingly wrap up the points.
However, Allan Trouten pulled one back from the penalty spot in the 81st minute before Flannigan hit Alloa’s second nine minutes later to set up a nervy finale, but the visitors fell to their 15th defeat of the season and remain four points from safety.
