Leyton Orient secure eighth successive league win to move clear at the top

Leyton Orient posted an eighth successive win as they stayed top of the Vanarama National League with a a 2-0 victory over visitors AFC Fylde.
Marvin Ekpiteta headed home from a corner to put Orient ahead in the 15th minute, while Macauley Bonne struck from the penalty spot nine minutes later after James Brophy was brought down in the area to wrap up the points.
The victory opened up a two-point gap over second-placed Solihull Moors as Justin Edinburgh’s team continued impressive form.
Orient and Fylde meet again in the FA Trophy final at Wembley on May 19.
