Pogba to Real Madrid promise

Paul Pogba has been promised a move to Real Madrid this summer by agent Mino Raiola.

Manchester United are likely to resist any offers for Pogba with the Red Devils eager to tie the 26-year-old down to a new contract.

But Spanish newspaper Marca have claimed that the player’s agent, Raiola, has promised him a summer move.

Raiola offered Pogba to Manchester City last season at the height of his feud with Jose Mourinho.

And Marca claim the 51-year-old is ‘working hard’ in order to ensure that Pogba becomes a Real Madrid player this summer.

£40m Ryan Sessegnon

Fulham have decided to sell talent Ryan Sessegnon.

That’s according to the Daily Mail, who claim the relegated side have slapped a £40million price-tag on their teenager star.

Manchester United and Tottenham have both been linked with the 18-year-old.

But It’s believed that Sessegnon is leaning towards a move to Spurs because of Mauricio Pochettino’s success with developing young players.

Paul Pogba to Real Madrid

Paul Pogba has 'made his mind up' on his future and wants to join Real Madrid, according to reports.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said recently that Pogba would be staying at Old Trafford and the France international had even told him as such.

But Spanish newspaper Marca have claimed that Pogba has ALREADY decided he will leave the club.

Red Devils manager Solskjaer is supposedly well aware that his key midfielder has his heart set on a move to Spain.

And Solskjaer is reportedly saying the opposite in public to buy the club time.

Liverpool want Man Utd flop

Liverpool want Manchester United flop Memphis Depay to replace Sadio Mane this summer, according to reports.

Mane has been linked with a move to Real Madrid ever since the La Liga giants sensationally saw Zinedine Zidane return as manager last month.

And French newspaper L’Equipe claim that Liverpool are preparing for a potential departure for their star performer.

And Manchester United flop Depay is supposedly in their sights.

L’Equipe add that Depay would welcome a move away from Lyon because he feels he’s achieved all he can over in France.

Ronaldinho deal

It’s official - Ronaldinho's son has signed his first contract.

Joao Mendes, 14, has signed for Cruzeiro and club director of football Amarildo Ribeiro is delighted with the deal.

"Today, we signed the contract of João Mendes, who is a promising player with interesting characteristics and who, I believe, will soon be integrating our professional team," he said.

"He is a player that has a good physical size, a high technical quality. A player who can play both as an area player and as a second striker. He is a player who, even with the big size, has speed and finishes very well."

Pogba to Real Madrid latest

Manchester United know Paul Pogba wants to join Real Madrid but are saying the opposite in public in order to buy time.

That is according to Marca, who claim Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is trying to help the club source a replacement for Pogba.

France World Cup winner Pogba has already said it is his “dream” to play for Real Madrid - and manager Zinedine Zidane wants him at the club.

But United will likely negotiate hard for a top price for Pogba, who cost them £89m in 2016.

Ryan Fraser latest

Eddie Howe is unsure if Ryan Fraser will be at Bournemouth next season with the Scottish winger linked with a transfer to Arsenal in the close season.

Fraser, whose contract ends in June next year, told Sky Sports that he was flattered to be linked with a "massive club" such as Arsenal after reports Unai Emery was interested in securing his services.

"We have spoken to Ryan and his representatives about his contract. It's one where we will see what happens," Howe said.

"There is no doubting Ryan's quality and how highly we think of him. He is an outstanding talent but it is a two-way prospect to sign a contract, so let's wait and see."

No Koulibaly to Man Utd deal

Kalidou Koulibaly will not be heading to Manchester United this summer, but Kostas Manolas might.

"Kalidou Koulibaly at United for €150million is bull****,” RAI journalist Ciro Venerato told CalcioNapoli 24.

"In fact, they are talking to [Mino] Raiola for [AS Roma’s Kostas] Manolas who has a €36m termination clause.

"Barcelona and Real Madrid are looking for a central defender, but neither club has the will to invest that money for Koulibaly.”

Chelsea to sign Swedish gem

Chelsea are set to sign the ‘next Cristiano Ronaldo’ in Swedish youngster Edwin Andersson.

That’s according to Andersson’s father, Mikael, who said the 15-year-old IFK Gothenburg youngster is heading to Chelsea when he turns 16.

"There have been an incredible number of clubs from virtually all countries that have been interested in him,” Andersson Sr said.

"But he has chosen to go to Chelsea when it’s time.

"According to the rules he must be 16 first and then it is up to the clubs to agree.

"There’s still some details, but the day it’s time he has decided that it’ll be Chelsea.”

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer final say

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have the final say on all Manchester United transfers this summer.

That is according to ESPN, who claim Ed Woodward is ready to succeed responsibility for transfer to the manager.

Solskjaer already has a list of transfer targets heading into the summer window, while a host of players are expected to leave Manchester United.

Jose Mourinho tried and failed to land a centre-back last season and United want to avoid the same issues with Solskjaer now in charge.

Herrera wages at PSG

Ander Herrera is set to pocket an eye-watering £6.9m-a-season contract at PSG.

Manchester United midfielder Herrera is expected to join PSG on a free transfer at the end of the current campaign.

And the Sun report that the French club are willing to offer the Spaniard much more than United are prepared to pay.

Herrera leaving United would likely see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer head into the transfer market for a replacement.

Hazard flight to Madrid

Eden Hazard could be about to agree a deal to join Real Madrid, with reports in Spain claiming a flight has been planned for the Chelsea star.

Real want to sign Hazard and know Chelsea are in a tricky situation.

The player’s contract expires in 2020 but the Blues cannot sign a replacement because of their transfer ban.

It means they can either sell him for £100m in the summer or lose him for nothing at the end of next season.

Spanish newspaper Marca report that Real are planning to fly Hazard to the Spanish capital soon.

They hope to have a deal for the Belgium international wrapped up.

Leeds to sign Stuart McKinstry

Leeds United are set to sign Motherwell star Stuart McKinstry in a £400,000 deal.

That is according to Football Insider, who claim Leeds are on the verge of a deal for the 16-year-old.

McKinstry was called up to the Scotland U17 squad for their European qualifiers during the international break.

A Leeds source told Football Insider that Marcelo Bielsa’s outfit had fended off interest from Southampton to agree terms with McKinstry.

Man Utd should ditch Fred

Manchester United should ditch Fred after just one season at the club, reckons Robbie Savage.

"If I was in Solskjaer’s shoes now, I would sit down with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and present him with three lists as an outline strategy,” Savage told The Mirror.

"The first list would consist of players United must keep as the basis for improvement.

"David De Gea, Sergio Romero, Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw, Paul Pogba, Andreas Pereira, Scott McTominay, Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Alexis Sanchez, Mason Greenwood, Tahith Chong.

"I was tempted to add £52 million flop Fred, because he has much to prove, but can you see United winning the title with him at the heart of the team? Sadly, on the evidence of this season, the answer is no.”

Jadon Sancho to Man Utd not happening

Borussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke has made it clear the club won’t sign Jadon Sancho.

The England international is wanted by Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

However, Watzke told Eurosport Germany: "We will not sell him, that is fact. It is clearly discussed with every person who is involved that Jadon plays in the next season for BVB."

Sancho, 19, has netted nine times and provided 18 assists in all competitions for Dortmund this season.

Perfect signing

Former Manchester United winger Jesper Olsen has urged his old club to sign Ajax sensation Matthijs de Ligt.

Barcelona are understood to be leading the chase for his signature having already agreed a deal to sign his team-mate Frenkie de Jong.

However, Olsen, who also played for Ajax, thinks he would be the perfect fit for United.

"No doubt about it [he could play for United],” Olsen told Omnisport. “Playing at Ajax, you have to be a quality player. So, of course, he could [play for United], no doubt about it.

Quality not quantity

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard insists there will not be wholesale changes at Ibrox in the summer.

"The only thing I will say is we will try to add more quality which will make our 11 stronger which will naturally make the squad stronger,” Gerrard said.

"There won't be wholesale changes like there was last season. We felt that was needed at the time.

"We don't think we are as far away as certain people think we are or maybe the gap in terms of points. We don't think we are that far away but it is quite clear that we do need to add more quality to make us improve and grow."

"He could fit into any top team at the moment.”

Chelsea scouting mission

Chelsea will be looking to sign Atletico Paranaense midfielder Bruno Guimaraes this summer, according to a report.

Guimaraes is being touted as one of the hottest playmaking prospects in football and has been linked with the likes of Inter Milan and Napoli as well.

Chelsea may be hindered, however, by the fact they’re currently under a transfer ban set by FIFA because of their past recruitment of foreign minors.

But according to ESPN FC, Chelsea are moving forward with pinpointing respective transfer targets for the summer.

And one of the first on their list is Guimaraes, who was watched by Chelsea earlier this week.

Scouts of Chelsea and Ukranian outfit Shaktar Donetsk were present in Paranaense’s 3-0 victory over Boca Juniors.

Suarez/Higuain

Gonzalo Higuain’s bad form is similar to Luiz Suarez’s when the Uruguayan first joined Liverpool, says Maurizio Sarri.

"He has to improve physically and mentally and also that he will be useful for us in the last part of the season,” Sarri said.

"It’s not easy in the first months to play in the Premier League, it was a problem for [Luis] Suarez in the first season at Liverpool, in the second season he scored 24 goals.

"It’s not easy for a striker to play immediately well.

"I think he needs time to improve his condition and be suitable for the Premier League but I think he is able to do it.”

Emiliano Martinez

Arsenal third-choice goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has threatened to leave the Gunners if he doesn’t get his chance.

Martinez, 26, has impressed since joining Championship Reading on a six-month loan deal - his SIXTH away from the Emirates.

But the Argentine, who still has three years on his Arsenal contract, says he needs regular first-team action.

"I’ve been around a lot, but for me it’s now time to settle in one place,” he told Goal. “I’m at an age now where I have a newborn baby and me and my wife want to settle. I’m tired of going on loan.

"Obviously I love Arsenal. But it’s time for me to make it there or go somewhere else.”

Virgil van Dijk transfer warning

Real Madrid could attempt to sign Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk.

That’s according to Leicester legend Robert Huth, who also thought LaLiga rivals Barcelona would be monitoring the Dutchman.

"I’d be surprised if these guys [Real Madrid and Barcelona] aren’t looking at him,” Huth told Starsport. “There aren’t too many players [like him].

"Imagine him and [Raphael] Varane at Madrid. I know they’ve still got [Sergio] Ramos - and he’s obviously at the top of his game - but he’s considerably older than Van Dijk.

"Varane is a similar sort of age. Imagine them for five years at Madrid. Jesus, I’d definitely watch that!

"Liverpool are a great club, but there is a couple of clubs bigger in terms of world stature. Real are consistently competing for the Champions League and league titles.”

Sessegnon to Spurs

Tottenham are leading Manchester United in the battle to sign Fulham star Ryan Sessegnon.

Sessegnon, 18, couldn’t prevent Fulham from being relegated but did show glimpses of his ability during the Premier League campaign having scored twice and provided six assists.

The England Under-21 international has frequently been linked with a move to a top-six side and Fulham’s return to the Championship could spark a bidding war.

According to The Mirror, Tottenham, Manchester United, PSG and Borussia Dortmund have all expressed interest.

However, Spurs are supposedly leading the charge because of Mauricio Pochettino's reputation for developing young English players.
