BARCELONA are plotting a summer swoop for Chelsea star Willian after two failed transfer attempts in January.

The Brazilian winger, 30, came close to a move to the Nou Camp earlier this season, but Barca were unsuccessful in their bids.

The La Liga leaders bid £50million - as well as flop Malcom - in January, but saw their offer rebuffed.

And, according to the Telegraph, the Catalans are set to reignite their interest this summer.

Barcelona had launched THREE separate bids for Willian last summer, only to grow frustrated with being rejected over and over again - instead turning to ex-Bordeaux ace Malcom.

However, the La Liga leaders are set to reignite their interest in Willian this summer and could make a cut-price move, according to reports.

The Brazilian's contract runs until next summer - and Chelsea could be tempted to cash-in on the star rather than risk losing him for a free.

"I WANT TO STAY"

With Callum Hudson-Odoi, 18, proving his worth on the wing already, he's likely to be considered the future of Chelsea.

But while the Blues may be happy to make a profit on Willian - who was brought to Stamford Bridge for £30million in 2013 - the player himself may not be willing to leave.

Earlier this year, Willian said: “I have one year left, but of course I want to play for this club.

“I don’t know if they want me, but of course I want to continue here.

“This club is very special to me. I won titles here, I have the affection from the fans and from the people that work in the club.

“I feel comfortable to stay. I am happy when I play well and score goals. I can give a different light.”

Despite the transfer speculation, Willian has played 49 times already this season for Chelsea, proving he is still very highly thought of by Maurizio Sarri.
