Luke Molyneux’s strike helps Hartlepool beat Halifax

Hartlepool beat Halifax 2-1 to pick up their first Vanarama National League victory in four games.
The hosts fell behind when former Hartlepool midfielder Devante Rodney fired home beyond goalkeeper Scott Loach after 14 minutes.
Pools equalised just after the half-hour mark when Luke James flicked the ball past Sam Johnson from a right-wing cross.
Luke Molyneux put Hartlepool in front after 53 minutes when he found himself with time and space to pick his spot.
Halifax tried in vain to find an equaliser in the closing stages as their winless run in the league stretched to five matches.
