Orient on verge of National League title
Posted Tuesday, April 23, 2019 by PA
Leyton Orient moved within touching distance of the National League title after a nervy stalemate with Solihull Moors.
The crucial point means Orient will win the title should they avoid defeat to already-relegated Braintree in their final game of the season.
A record crowd at the ATG Stadium played witness to a cagey first half in which Jamey Osborne’s 31st-minute free-kick came closest to breaking the deadlock.
After the interval, Jamie Turley twice came close for the Os, while at the other end Dean Brill made fine stops to deny Macauley Bonne and then Jermaine Hylton.
The draw leaves Solihull, in third, and second-placed Salford City three points adrift of leaders Orient with just one game remaining.
