Luka Jovic is on the verge of a sensational £51m move to Real Madrid
REAL MADRID have reportedly agreed a £51million fee to sign wonderkid Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt.
It will come as a bitter blow to Chelsea who were believed to be planning a summer swoop.
Spanish newspaper AS is reporting that Frankfurt will bag £41m of the fee, with £10m going to his previous club Benfica as a result of their 20 per cent sell-on clause.
The 21-year-old is set to sign a six-year contract at the Bernabeu.
Jovic only joined the German club in April, after they opted to make his move permanent.
It is believed he joined for as little as £5m.
The Serbian was on the radar of Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri this summer, transfer ban dependent.
And scoring a goal for Frankfurt against Chelsea in their Europa League semi-final first leg clash will have only impressed the Italian gaffer.
According to Alfredo Pedulla, Sarri is a huge fan and considers Jovic one of the best strikers in Europe.
The Italian boss was reportedly willing to pay the £51million needed to see him in Blue.
Jovic, 21, has scored 26 goals in all competitions this season.
