Paul Pogba's move from Manchester United to Real Madrid is now in jeopardy

PAUL POGBA'S dream summer switch from Manchester United to Real Madrid is in doubt after his agent Mino Raiola was slapped with a three-month worldwide ban.

The 51-year-old was recently banned for three months by the Italian FA along with his cousin Vincenzo, though no official reason has yet been given why.

A statement from Fifa said: "The Chairman of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee has today decided to extend the sanctions imposed by the Italian Football Association (FIGC) on the intermediaries Carmine and Vincenzo Raiola to have worldwide effect.

"Carmine Raiola is suspended for a period of three months and Vincenzo Raiola for a period of two months.

"The decision of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee was notified today and takes immediate effect.

"For further information concerning the grounds of the sanction please contact FIGC."

It has been claimed that the ban stems from Gianluca Scamacca's move from Roma to PSV in 2015, but this hasn't been confirmed.

Pogba, 26, has been heavily linked with a move to Los Blancos at the end of the season, with Zinedine Zidane understood to be a huge admirer of his French compatriot.

It has been reported that the World Cup winner is ready to push through a deal to join Real, but United must drop their £160million asking price.

SunSport exclusively revealed that Zidane had given Pogba an ultimatum, stating: "It's now or never to join."

United's failure to finish in the top four has seen the ex-Juventus maestro lose £75,000-a-week off his salary at the Theatre of Dreams.

While it has also been reported that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will ignore Pogba, and instead build his team around Scott McTominay.

But should the Norwegian press to sell the former United youth graduate, he could incur the wrath of Ed Woodward who is unwilling to offload him.

Real Madrid players are understood to be torn over the potential signing amid fears over his attitude.
