Cristiano Ronaldo Flies Out Seriously Ill 10-Year Old And His Family To Meet Him

Cristiano Ronaldo flew a seriously ill 10-year old and his family out to Turin to meet him and made his dreams come true.

Joseph from Bristol was diagnosed with a brain tumour when he was just four years old and he has had to undergo regular treatment from that point onwards.

The youngster idolises Ronaldo and courtesy of charity 'Rays of Sunshine', with the help of Pitch International and of course Ronaldo himself, it was arranged for the lad and his family to have the trip of a lifetime.

Joseph was greeted by the five-time Ballon d'Or winner at Juventus' training ground and given an exclusive tour of the facilities by the man himself.

Ronaldo posed for pictures with Joseph and his younger sister as well as signing their items in a quite brilliant gesture.

Joseph's Mum Kelly was overjoyed at the experience her son was able to have and thanked all those who helped make it happen.

As per The Mirror, she said: "Wow, wow wow! We can't thank you enough for all that you have done to make this happen.

"The whole experience was incredible and Joseph was overwhelmed with joy.

"He didn't know he was meeting Cristiano until the moment he appeared and his reaction was all worth it. We've been spoiled rotten and Ronaldo was so happy to have photos and sign our things."

Much like he is on the pitch, Ronaldo is extremely prolific with his charity work. In 2013, according to Spanish publication Marca, Ronaldo raised an incredible £600,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation by auctioning off his Ballon d'Or trophy replica.

Most players keep it in their trophy cabinet or ask that the club look after it but Ronaldo made the very specific request.

The lucky buyer was Idan Ofer, Israel's richest person, and Marca's report stated that the £600,000 fee went straight to the foundation to help them make even more memories for children battling illness.

On Christmas Eve last year, Ronaldo and his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez visited sick children at the Regina Margherita hospital in Turin and handed out presents to patients.
