Cenk Tosun to Besiktas

Besiktas want to re-sign Everton striker Cenk Tosun.

Sam Allardyce brought Tosun, 28, to Merseyside in January 2018 for a reported £27million.

But nine goals in 43 appearances saw him fall our of favour with Marco Silva and play second-fiddle to Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

According to Turkish website Sporx, Tosun attended Besiktas’ 2-1 win over Alanyaspor on Monday night and the club’s hierarchy are trying to negotiate a loan deal.

The report adds that Everton will only sanction Tosun’s departure should they secure a replacement.

About Lorenzo Insigne…

Jurgen Klopp might feel like reviving his interest in Lorenzo Insigne after Aurelio De Laurentiis admitted he cannot force the Napoli star to stay put.

Liverpool were credited with serious interest in Insigne towards the end of last month by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

And the playmaker would represent a valuable asset if Klopp was to add him to his squad of two-time Champions League finalists.

"I understand that he has a contract, he is a Napoli player and he is from Naples," De Laurentiis told Tutto Mercato Web, when asked if Insigne will be at Napoli next season.

"However, this responsibility [being captain] has played in the past, and could play him in the future, an idiosyncrasy with the fans that led to misunderstandings, I can't force him to stay.”

Barcelona transfer clue?

Barcelona and Arsenal fans reckon the La Liga giants have dropped a huge hint that Alexandre Lacazette is on his way to the Nou Camp.

However, everything is not as it seems - despite a profile of the France international appearing on Barcelona's official website.

Barcelona have a record of every single player they have come up against down the years, which includes Lacazette.

So it's unlikely this is just a blunder from Barcelona, despite Lacazette being understood to be on their list of transfer targets.

Griezmann to Liverpool backed

Liverpool have been backed to sign Antoine Griezmann after Atletico Madrid announced the striker will leave this summer.

ESPN FC pundit Craig Burley said: “I actually think that Liverpool would be a great place for Griezmann to go this summer.

“Liverpool are very much a team on the up at the moment and he could aid Roberto Firmino who also likes to drop deep.

“Liverpool are a huge club who are fighting for league titles with Manchester City and have reached the last two Champions League finals.

“I don’t know if they have got enough money to do it but I wouldn’t go to Manchester United, that’s for sure.

“You talk about how good Griezmann would be linking up with Messi and Barcelona, what about with Liverpool’s front three?

“You look at that and we talk about Liverpool needing that strength in depth, he would add that and Firmino or Salah some games might sit out.”
