Chelsea will break the bank for Cavani, Asensio, Zaha and Coutinho if they lose Hazard and miraculously escape transfer ban

CHELSEA will break the bank to bring in Edinson Cavani, Marco Asensio, Wilfried Zaha and Philippe Coutinho this summer.

That is, if they miraculously manage to escape their upcoming transfer ban.

The BBC's David Ornstein has revealed the Blues have a monster summer lined-up should they somehow get out of their two-window embargo.

Chelsea are currently set to be banned from making signings until the summer of 2020 for the illegal signing of minors, notably Bertrand Traore.

But if they do escape their punishment and the sale of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid goes through, they are thought to be targeting FOUR superstars.

Ornstein said: "They want a centre-forward. They really do need a centre-forward badly.

"If the ban stands then they have to make a decision on triggering the clause in Giroud's contract to extend his deal.

"They could bring Michy Batshuayi back from Crystal Palace, Tammy Abraham from Aston Villa.

BIG SUMMER BLOWOUT

"If the ban doesn't stand, I've heard names like Edinson Cavani from PSG who had a fall-out with Neymar and they're looking to offload him."

Ornstein went on to talk about non-striking options this summer, with Chelsea looking to replace Hazard should his Real Madrid move go through.

The BBC man added: "I've also heard Marco Asensio, then comes the Eden Hazard question.

"Despite reports to the contrary, his mooted move to Real Madrid is not done, with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia putting up a fight on that one.

"If he is sold and the transfer ban is delayed, I've been told they have an interest in Philippe Coutinho.

"His agent is Kia Joorabchian who Chelsea have done a number of deals with in the past.

"Then there's possibly also interest in Wilfried Zaha as a replacement for Hazard.

"Zaha, if the price is right could well leave Crystal Palace this summer despite many fans knowing that's a bit of a Doomsday scenario."

However, not all fans are happy, with one saying on social media he'd prefer Luka Jovic, Kai Havertz, Nicolas Pepe and Nabil Fekir.

Another added the club should be focusing on defensive reinforcements, despite the return of Reece James from his loan at Wigan.
