Zinedine Zidane didn't allow Gareth Bale the opportunity to bid farewell to the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday as the Welshman was left on the bench for the entirety of Real Madrid's 2-0 defeat to Real Betis.
The forward was again left out of the starting line-up, too, as Vinicius Junior and Brahim Diaz started either side of Karim Benzema.
Keylor Navas started in goal and was warmly received by the supporters, but Bale's name was greeted to a reaction of sheer indifference when he was named amongst the substitutes.
After 52 minutes three players came to warm up, none being Bale, before Isco, Marco Asensio and Lucas Vazquez all came on.
Upon the final whistle sounding, Bale greeted a member of Betis' staff before disappearing down the tunnel without even a wave.
