Lukaku transfer: Inter set to go all out to sign Man Utd star once Antonio Conte takes over as manager
Romelu Lukaku remains keen on a move to Italy

INTER MILAN are set to go all out to land Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku once Antonio Conte takes over as manager, according to reports.

SunSport revealed that the Belgian is eyeing a switch to Italy this summer after two years at Old Trafford, with Juventus and AC Milan also linked.

However, Inter may be leading the chase for the 25-year-old once the Serie A giants draft in Conte to replace Luciano Spalletti at the San Siro.

The former Chelsea boss will return to sign Lukaku, who he missed out on in 2017 when he was in charge of the Stamford Bridge club, according to the Times.

The former Everton star has notched 15 goals and four assists from 45 appearances in all competitions during an up-and-down season at Old Trafford.

SunSport revealed in December that Lukaku was considering his future during his time out of the team, just before Jose Mourinho was axed.

He now believes he is not part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans and last month he spoke of his desire to play in Italy, where his brother Jordan features for Lazio.

Lukaku said: “Serie A is a dream, it would really be a dream. I hope I can play there at some point."

The forward could replace Mauro Icardi, who will leave the San Siro after a controversial season that saw him recently slammed for a naked photo shoot with his wife.

United are reportedly not said to be opposed to selling the Belgium international if they recuperate the £75 million fee they paid Everton for his signature two years ago.

Despite the ongoing reports surrounding his future, Lukaku recently splashed nearly £3million on a flash new pad in Altrincham - near the Reds' Carrington training complex.

However, the lure of Inter may be too great, with the club set to offer Champions League football with a win at home to Empoli on the final day of the season.

It is understood that Conte expects to take over the job following the club’s final match after he reportedly snubbed former club Juventus for their league rivals.
