GARETH BALE was trolled by fans after posting a photo of himself on the golf course at the same time as Eden Hazard's unveiling.

The Real Madrid outcast posted a photo of himself on the 18th tee at Pebble Beach - site of this week's US Open - but from a round he played a while ago.

And the Wales winger, 29, messaged his support for world No 2 Dustin Johnson as he bids to land his second major.

But Bernabeu fans were alert to the timing of the post - which came as ex-Chelsea star Hazard was preparing to be shown to the Real fans for the first time.

Bale posted: "Looking forward to watching the US Open this week. Pebble is an amazing course, as long as you drive it well. Cheering for all the #TeamTaylorMade guys this week, especially @djohnsonpga. #usopen."

But the message received a hostile reception, with some startlingly blunt replies.

One particularly angry Real supporter tweeted: "GO OUT."

'LEAVE MADRID'

Another posted: "Please take Benzema with you and leave Madrid."

A fellow user wrote: "Mans actually going to play golf for the rest of his contract. Fair enough."

One comment read: "Great timing as always Gareth."

Another wrote: "Jesus Christ, what is this guy doing?"

One Instagram comment read: "Can't wait for you to get kicked out of the squad for first 15 games next season."

A fellow user said: "Just leave Madrid already."

And another, in reference to rumours that Bale told Real chiefs he would just stay and play golf if they did not play him, wrote: "You were actually serious about golf, damn."

Bale's own career is at a crossroads now, with Man Utd reportedly pulling the plug on any move for the winger.

By contrast, Belgian Hazard, 28, will be paraded in front of 70,000 adoring fans in the Spanish capital with his future in front of him.
