LUIS SUAREZ says Neymar would be welcome back at Barcelona amid reports he is trying to force through a move away from Paris Saint-Germain.

Neymar, 27, is reported to have gone on strike and it is claimed he has no intention of returning to PSG  for pre-season.

And Suarez insists he would love to play alongside the Brazilian again having spent tyre season together at the Nou Camp beefier his world-record £200million switch to the French giants in 2017.

The pair won the treble together in 2015 and Suarez said: “I was privileged to fulfil one of the best years of my life as a football player at Barcelona next to the best in the world, Messi, and the second-best in the world, Neymar.

"For me, it was one of the best moments I've ever lived, winning the treble.

"Who would not want to enjoy players like Ney?”

While Suarez is excited by the prospect of a reunion, he concedes it might be difficult to bring him back to the club.

"But he belongs to PSG and these are things that are always talked about during the market,” the Uruguayan added.

Reports from Spanish publication Sport say Neymar has never really settled at PSG.

Suarez’ team-mate Arturo Vidal has also given his blessing Neymar coming back to the club and says people at Barca would love to see it happen.

"It would be lovely if he wanted to come,” Vidal said.

"He won everything, everyone likes him there.”

Since moving to PSG, Neymar has scored 51 goals in 58 goals in all competitions and has become a two-time Ligue 1 champion.

He initially made the move in search of individual honours as he thought he would never win the Ballon d’Or playing in the shadow of Lionel Messi.

However, that recognition is yet to come and he could now move elsewhere as he seeks a new challenge.

Real Madrid have also been heavily linked with a move although that seems unlikely given the money they have already spent on transfers this summer.

They have spent around £190million on Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic and Ferland Mendy, and are still trying to sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United.

United are looking for a fee of around £150m for the Frenchman.
