BARCELONA have made a decision on the future of Philippe Coutinho, as they look to finalise a deal for Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar.

Philippe Coutinho is no longer in Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde's plans, according to Marca.

And he’s even top of their list of potential players to sell in order to bring Neymar back to the Nou Camp.

If they do choose to pursue a deal for the PSG forward, they’ll need to sell at least one of their players to free up some transfer funds.

Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele, and Malcom are the most likely to go.

Barcelona would almost certainly need to sell Malcom if Neymar joins, because he makes up the final non-EU position in the squad.

And unless players are included in the deal, they’ll need to make money from other sales.

Coutinho’s future at Barcelona has been under intense speculation since the end of the season.

He’s failed to make an impact in Spain, and could be in line for a move away from Catalonia.

The Brazilian has been linked with a sensational move back to former club Liverpool as well as other Premier League sides.

Barcelona spent £142m on Coutinho in January last year, but they’d do well to recoup all of that money.

Manchester United were interested in signing Coutinho this summer, but the Brazil forward has decided against a move to Old Trafford, at the risk of upsetting his former fans.

But, if Coutinho were to leave Barcelona this summer, it’s most likely that he’ll be included in any deal for Neymar.

Neymar has already revealed that he wants to leave PSG and is expected to return to Barcelona.

He is believed to regret leaving in the first place and doesn't want to return to Paris.

PSG would sell Neymar if a suitable bid were to come in for him, but Barcelona are yet to test the water.

The Parisians are also concerned that Barcelona won’t be able to afford the £268m-rated player as they also look to complete a deal for Antoine Griezmann.
