MANCHESTER UNITED have made contact with Juventus superstar Paulo Dybala about a move to Old Trafford, it has been claimed.

The Red Devils are said to have reignited their interest in the Argentine but he has made it clear he wants to stay put for the time being.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport in Italy, the 25-year-old is a target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who looks likely to lose Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan.

Dybala was relatively disappointing last season and is considered one of the main casualties of Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival in Turin.

And as only a handful of clubs in the world could afford him, the Red Devils were inevitably mentioned.

A to-ing and fro-ing between the clubs regarding a fee has been reported but there is one hurdle that may be impossible to overcome at this stage.

And that is the fact Dybala wants to stay where he is, according to the Gazzetta.

During Max Allegri's final season in charge the 25-year-old struggled to flourish though he still managed 10 goals and five assists from 42 appearances last season.

But he is said to want a chance to prove himself under new boss Maurizio Sarri whose style of play may suit the forward more.

While the Italian champions would be happy for Dybala to remain at the club they were also said to be considering including him in a deal to bring Paul Pogba back to Italy.
