ARSENAL fans have accused Boris Johnson and the Queen of “doing the Laca and Auba celebration”.

Johnson was invited to Buckingham Palace to become the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom after Theresa May tendered her resignation to the Queen.

The new Conservative party leader was pictured shaking hands with the 93-year-old - a tradition upon becoming the PM.

But eagle-eyed Gooners noticed similarities to Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s goal celebration.

“The Queen and Boris doing the Laca and Auba celebration,” one Arsenal fan wrote on Twitter.

“The Queen > Laca,” a second wrote.

A third said: “Why, are they an Arsenal fan?”

While another added: “Good to see Boris doing the Laca/Auba.”

Johnson, who was Mayor of London between 2008 and 2016, previously claimed to “support all of the London teams”.

But the controversial Tory is unlikely to be a popular figure in the Arsenal dressing room if a social media post by Hector Bellerin is anything to go by.

Last year, Bellerin posted a picture of himself on a bicycle to Instagram, with the caption: ”Only Boris I like is the bikes mann."

Johnson beat Jeremy Hunt to become Conservative leader following a vote of the party’s membership.

Labour leader and Arsenal fan Jeremy Corbyn has called on Johnson to call a General Election.

“After nine years of cuts to our schools, police and councils, Boris Johnson's priority is more tax giveaways for the richest and big businesses, not support for our public services,” he wrote on Twitter.

“We need a General Election and a Labour government that works for the many not the privileged few.”

While Jo Swinson, the new leader of the Liberal Democrats, said: “Boris Johnson has shown time and time again that he isn’t fit to be the Prime Minister of our country.

“Britain deserves better than Boris Johnson.”
