Manchester United Fans Think The Leicester Lucky Charm Will Strike Again

Manchester United fans are convinced that they'll win the Premier League heading into the new season following the recent trend of Leicester City players moving to the eventual winners in the summer.

In 2016, N'Golo Kante swapped Leicester for Chelsea and won the league title the following season. And, in 2018, Riyad Mahrez completed a mega-switch to Manchester City and also won the league title the following season.

Maguire's the latest Leicester star to move away from the King Power Stadium and United supporters are confident in history repeating itself.

It'll be a miraculous effort should United win the league following last season's awful campaign which saw the Reds finish in sixth place.

But with the addition of Maguire, United fans believe the Leicester lucky charm will strike again.

Maguire, meanwhile, is United's third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The England international, 26, has become the world's most expensive defender after completing a whopping £80 million transfer.

He has agreed a six-year contract at Old Trafford with the option of a further year.

"When Manchester United come knocking on your door, it is an incredible opportunity," he said.

"From my conversations with the manager, I am excited about the vision and plans he has for the team.

"It's clear to see that Ole is building a team to win trophies. I am now looking forward to meeting my new team-mates and getting the season started."

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer added: "Harry is one of the best centre-backs in the game today.

"He is a great reader of the game and has a strong presence on the pitch, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

"He will fit well into this group both on and off the pitch."
