Early Danny Rowe penalty enough for AFC Fylde against Ebbsfleet

AFC Fylde made it seven points from nine with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Ebbsfleet at Mill Farm.
The Coasters won a fourth-minute penalty when Mark Yeates’s corner struck an Ebbsfleet hand in the box, and Danny Rowe slotted in past Nathan Ashmore.
The hosts did not have it all their own way for the rest of the encounter though, with Josh Umerah’s cross-shot cannoning off the crossbar.
After the break, driving wind made the ball control difficult but Ebbsfleet again threatened with a Myles Weston effort, which was tipped away by James Montgomery.
Fylde’s Neill Byrne also headed off the line in a goalmouth scramble but Dave Challinor’s men held on.
