Tasdemir set to miss Peterborough’s clash with Ipswich

Peterborough look set to be without Azerbaijan Under-19 forward Serhat Tasdemir against Ipswich as they seek to avoid suffering a fourth straight defeat.

The summer signing from AFC Fylde had impressed on his debut against Oxford until pulling a calf muscle and withdrawing from the action early as Posh headed towards a 1-0 Carabao Cup defeat.

Record signing Mo Eisa is still seeking a first competitive goal in Peterborough colours while defenders Josh Knight and Frazer Blake-Tracy will hope to keep their places following full debuts.

Seventeen-year-old midfielder Harrison Burrows may also secure more playing time on Saturday after making his senior bow with a 20-minute cameo off the bench at Oxford.

Luke Garbutt’s absence for a month due to medial ligament damage hampers Ipswich’s preparations for Saturday and their short-term prospects.

The on-loan Everton left-back was forced off against Sunderland on Saturday and sat out the cup defeat at Luton, with Tractor Boys boss Paul Lambert admitting that “it looks like four weeks or so for Luke”.

Academy graduate Armando Dobra impressed Lambert with his display and late goal against the Hatters and the teenager could travel to London Road having already been among the substitutes for the Burton game.

Gwion Edwards (groin) and Jon Nolan (calf) are back in training while Teddy Bishop, Freddie Sears (both knee) and Jack Lankester are long-term absentees.
