It effectively ended Bayern's chase for his signature after tracking him throughout the summer.

City knocked back numerous offers for the 23-year-old including one that topped £70million.

The German champions are in the market for long-term replacements for Franck Ribery and Arjen Robbery who left at the end of last season.

And the Daily Mail write how Bayern will make another attempt to sign Sane because they are encouraged how contract talks at City have collapsed.

They also claim that the Bundesliga side will make him their highest earner on a whopping £400,000-a-week salary.

Pep Guardiola has already admitted that they are struggling to keep hold of him.

The Spaniard said: "He has to decide. If he wants and there is an agreement, then it's good.

"But if he wants to leave, he can do it. We will be sad - hopefully he stays.”

Sane's current contract at Manchester City expires in 2021.
