Arbroath edge past Dunfermline

Arbroath recorded back-to-back wins as Luke Donnelly’s goal secured a 1-0 victory against Dunfermline.
Dunfermline, still winless in the Ladbrokes Championship, enjoyed the better chances in the first half, with Kevin Nisbet, Kyle Turner and Lewis McCann all close to beating Darren Jamieson in the home net.
Donnelly’s opener for Arbroath at Gayfield went against the grain, therefore, as he slotted past Ryan Scully from a Bobby Linn assist in the 50th minute.
Jamieson made a fine save to deny Turner an equaliser before the hour and Arbroath almost made it two through Thomas O’Brien, whose speculative effort from distance needed a smart stop from Scully.
