Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino’s plan to land Paulo Dybala this January is set to be hampered by Paris St-Germain.
The Argentine forward was subject to late bids from both Spurs and PSG.

But both deals fell through with Tottenham coming close before negotiations stretched over past deadline day, ruling a move out.

However, Pochettino is not prepared to give up yet and the former Southampton manager is plotting a transfer raid in January.

But according to the Express, PSG are ready to enter the chase with a plan of their own.

Thomas Tuchel wants to take Dybala on loan until the end of the season, with a permanent deal discussed in the summer.

With Neymar’s future uncertain, PSG want to clarify that situation first before making any huge movements in the transfer market.

If the Parisian club offload the Brazilian than a move for Dybala would become a lot more likely.

Tottenham experienced a multitude of problems when trying to sign the 25-year-old, with image rights and wages proving too difficult to negotiate in limited time.

But the Express report that Spurs are confident that these issues can be ironed out in the winter transfer window.

Dybala was also linked with a move to Manchester United and there were reports that he could switch with Romelu Lukaku.

But the Belgian eventually ended up at Inter Milan as the Red Devils pulled out of a deal.

They were not convinced that the ex-Palermo ace wanted to move to Old Trafford and did not want to waste anymore time on such a deal.

Meanwhile, Tottenham must pick up their form when players return to their clubs after international duty.

Spurs have won just once so far while also experiencing a shock home defeat to Newcastle.
