MK Dons forward Rhys Healey will miss Saturday’s Sky Bet League One fixture at home to Southend.
The former Cardiff striker will be out for the foreseeable future due to a thigh strain picked up in the warm-up ahead of last weekend’s 3-0 win at Blackpool.
Paul Tisdale is also without Baily Cargill for the next few weeks with an ankle problem.
Jordan Moore-Taylor, Ben Reeves and Joe Mason are also sidelined.
Southend caretaker manager Gary Waddock could make changes in defence after conceding four at Shrewsbury on Tuesday.
Left-back Nathan Ralph returned after a hamstring injury, but struggled in the 4-3 defeat and may be on the bench for the trip to MK Dons.
Captain Mark Milligan has missed the last two matches with a hamstring problem, although will hope to be in contention for Saturday’s fixture.
Jason Demetriou is another who will be pushing to start for the Blues, who have conceded 33 goals in 11 games in all competitions this season.
