Wycombe’s Rolando Aarons could return to the squad for Saturday’s League One clash with Portsmouth after missing the last two games through injury.
The on-loan Newcastle midfielder is likely to have a late fitness test after recovering from a rib problem picked up during the 3-1 victory over Lincoln on September 7.
Alex Samuel remains a doubt with a hip injury while fellow striker Paul Smyth continues his recovery from a fractured foot.
Manager Gareth Ainsworth made changes for the midweek draw with Accrington, and defenders Joe Jacobson and Darius Charles in particular will hope to resume.
Portsmouth defender James Bolton could make his first league appearance since the opening day of the season after shaking off groin and ankle injuries.
The full-back was an unused substitute for Tuesday night’s 2-2 draw with Burton after playing in the Leasing.com Trophy victories over Crawley and Norwich Under-21s and is now ready to challenge for a place in manager Kenny Jackett’s plans once again.
Ryan Williams was handed a first start of the season in midweek as Marcus Harness missed out with a thigh injury, while Lee Brown (Achilles) and Jack Whatmough (knee) are also still missing.
Meanwhile, midfielder Bryn Morris is working his way back to fitness after consulting a specialist over a niggling abdominal problem.
