Lukaku delighted to be working with a coach like Conte who can ‘motivate him every day’

Romelu Lukaku believes he is thriving under Inter Milan coach Antonio Conte.
The Belgian striker finally fulfilled his dream of moving to Serie A this summer, joining Inter from Manchester United for £73m.

Lukaku has already bagged three goals in four league games for the Nerazzurri, including one in their 2-0 win against city rivals AC Milan on Saturday.
And the former Chelsea and Everton man believes Conte’s motivational skills have played a key role in his encouraging Serie A form so far, with Lukaku admitting he was the kind of coach he needed to work under at this stage in his career.
“My relationship with Conte? He’s a really good coach because he’s someone who helps players to develop a lot,” Lukaku said after Inter’s Derby della Madonnina win.
“At 26 years old, I needed and wanted a coach like this, one who motivates me every day. I’m really happy to be here and to be wearing this shirt.”
Inter currently top the Serie A table and are the only team in the division still holding on to a 100% record at the of the new season, winning each of their four games so far.
Conte’s side host Lazio at the San Siro on Wednesday in their next match.
Brozovic-Lukaku row played down by Conte
Following Inter’s disappointing Champions League draw at home with Slavia Prague on Tuesday, reports suggested Lukaku had clashed with Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic in the changing room.
Conte did not confirm whether any such incident had taken place but believes disagreements can stem from two players who have a desire to succeed.
“Quarrels mean there is blood in the veins and a desire to improve,” Conte added. “I’ve been a player, I’ve argued with team-mates many times and then gone out to dinner with them afterwards. It’s not a big deal and they enjoy being together.”
“He is 26 years old and arrived here thanks to his potential,” Conte said of Lukaku.
“If we work with him properly, he can become extremely important. He can give even more and I told him that too.
“Brozo and Lukaku are exceptional lads and if anything, I get cross with them because they are too nice. They need to be more clinical on the pitch.”
