Giroud struggling for game time
Tammy Abraham has burst into the Chelsea first-team picture under the guidance of Frank Lampard.
The Chelsea youth product has had a scintillating start to the new season, in which he has made 11 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions, scoring nine and assisting one.
While Abraham's form has been good news for the young striker and Chelsea, it hasn't been too great for Olivier Giroud.
The former Arsenal man has found himself a very marginalised figure in Chelsea's first-team picture so far this campaign.
Giroud has made just three Premier League appearances in 2019/20, only one of which came as a starter.
Giroud on Chelsea future
Giroud has recently been away on international duty with France.
While away with France, Giroud spoke about how he doesn't accept his current role at Chelsea.
Now, the 33-year-old has cast some doubt over his future at Stamford Bridge.
Giroud spoke about having fun and wanting to play more games. He then went on to state Chelsea is his priority but if he is forced to make a choice, he will do so, like when he left Arsenal:
"I'm going to fight for my place in Chelsea. The coach knows it. And we will make the decision in January.
"If I want to leave Chelsea? Not necessarily. But if I need to make a choice… I have some beautiful years in front of me.
"I'm 33, I still have legs and a good healthy lifestyle and I feel good physically.
"I want to have fun and want to play more games. Chelsea is my priority, but if in the end I'm forced to make a choice, I will do it as when I left Arsenal." As quoted by Goal.
