ALEX ZINCHENKO was so inspired by Ukraine's qualification for Euro 2020 he got down on one knee for his stunning TV presenter girlfriend Vlada Sedan.

The Manchester City star, 22, got down on one knee inside the 70,000-capacity Olympic Stadium in Kiev in front of a heart-shaped display of red roses.

He posted on his Instagram an incredible picture of the moment with the caption: "Most important YES of my life."

Zinchenko went on an joy-fuelled song and dance after Ukraine beat Portugal 2-1 in the capital city, raving on live TV three times during interviews with his team-mates.

Vlada was one of the victims of his solo frenzy, as he ambushed her on-air interview, before doing the same for the television studio where they were doing post-match analysis.

There were rumours the pair were dating after he planted a kiss on her face on live TV following Ukraine's 5-0 win over Serbia in June.

For Zinchenko, it completes a remarkable journey from fringe player at Shakhtar Donetsk, the club he left after Russia's invasion of Crimea.

He then played for FC Ufa in the Russian Premier League, before moving to City aged 19 for £1.7million.

The Manchester City star has been one of Pep Guardiola's most reliable stars during the season, covering for injured Benjamin Mendy at left back.

But the champions have had a rocky start to the season, with defeats to Wolves and Norwich, leaving them eight points behind Liverpool.

The two sides face each other on November 10, but Zinchenko will hope to have a more complete defence alongside him after injuries to Aymeric Laporte and John Stones decimated the starting line-up.
