Mesut Ozil Aims Subtle Dig At Unai Emery After Training Ground Bust Up Video Goes Viral

Mesut Ozil seems to have made his spat with Unai Emery public after taking to social media, following the pair's bust up during training on Wednesday.

The German number 10 was left out of the Gunners' defeat to Sheffield United on Monday night, with Emery playing three players in the advance play-making role during the 90 minutes with no success.

On Wednesday a video of the pair at Arsenal training went viral, with the pair sharing a very frosty conversation and the former Real Madrid man looking annoyed at something his manager said during their handshake, before passionately remonstrating with him.

With fans wondering exactly what was going on between the two men, as the English club get ready for their latest game in Europe, the midfielder has taken to social media himself.

In a post that looks like a dig at his boss, Ozil posted a picture of himself laughing on Twitter with the caption 'You make me laugh...'

Fans certainly considered the tweet to be aimed at Emery with @Makaveli2B replying, 'Yo @UnaiEmery_ he's talking to you'

@amyampaire also clearly linked the post with the manager by replying 'Someone's had a good ebening,' mimicking the former Sevilla manager's usual greeting when he starts post match interviews.

@GuendouziEra29 added his support for the midfielder saying, 'Dw Ozil, we hate Emery too,' @AfcJosh_ added, 'EMERY OUT LADS,' and @Syncopy_ replied with 'Yep Emery is a CLOWN.'

The training ground incident between manager and creative midfielder who seem to have fallen out will certainly bring back memories for Manchester United fans.

Just over a year ago Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho fell out with cameras at a similar opening training session catching the two men in a similar looking conversation to the one at Arsenal today.

Unlike Pogba, Ozil has already lost his place in the team before the training ground argument with the 2014 World Cup winner having played just 71 minutes in the league and another 71 minutes in the Carabao Cup.

Much like last year at Old Trafford it'll be intriguing to see if the player can outlast the manager or will the 31-year-old have to leave the Emirates?
