Kevin Nisbet scored a brace as Dunfermline bounced back from defeat to Dundee United last time out to record a 2-0 victory over Arbroath in the Scottish Championship.
After a goalless first half, Nisbet broke the deadlock when joining forces with Andy Ryan just before the hour mark.
Ryan cut back when in possession, feeding the ball to the former Raith striker who then tapped it past goalkeeper Derek Gaston from just inside the box to give Dunfermline the lead.
The margin was then extended in the 78th minute, with Pars captain Ryan Paton finding Nisbet who slotted the ball into the bottom corner to complete his double and make it four league goals for the season.
The outcome leaves Arbroath fifth in the table, whilst Dunfermline moved up to sixth, just a point behind.
