Hodges has injury-hit squad for first match as permanent AFC Wimbledon boss

Glyn Hodges will take charge of his first game as AFC Wimbledon’s permanent manager when Lincoln visit.

Hodges, who was in caretaker command following Wally Downes’ sacking, has got the job on a full-time basis since the Dons were last in action on October 22.

Will Nightingale (hip), Michael Folivi (abdominal injury) and and Adam Roscrow (thigh) are all out, while Rod McDonald (knee) and Luke O’Neill (calf) are unlikely to feature, even though they are back in training.

Hodges has appointed former Scunthorpe boss Nick Daws as his assistant manager this week.

Lincoln have been boosted by the return of Lee Frecklington to training.

The midfielder is yet to feature this season due to groin surgery but has been involved with the group this week.

Defender Cian Bolger is serving the second game of his three-match ban while Michael Bostwick is still out with a calf injury.

Boss Michael Appleton, who will also be without Ben Coker, has just one win in six matches since replacing Danny Cowley as Lincoln boss.
