Chelsea fans want to see former captain John Terry return to Stamford Bridge after scoring an unbelievable goal in Aston Villa training.

The Englishman made more than 700 appearances for the Blues, winning five Premier League titles and a Champions League.

He has since moved into management with the Birmingham side under Dean Smith.

But the 38-year-old likes to keep up his fitness with the squad, regularly getting involved with training sessions.

And footage has emerged which shows the Chelsea hero has still got an eye for goal.

In the clip, the Villa squad are training at Bodymoor Heath.

Some of the players are involved in a small game of football.

Terry is on the side without bibs – and is first to the ball as it is lofted into the air for the restart.

Without hesitation, the Villa coach decides to go for glory from 20 yards out.

And his looping volley finds the bottom-left corner, leaving the goalkeeper rooted to the spot.

Terry’s players are also left in disbelief as the former defender watches on cooly.

This footage was shared on the Englishman’s Instagram channel yesterday, where it has been viewed nearly 100,000 times.

Accompanying the clip, the 38-year-old wrote: “Just one of them days.”

But the Blues faithful made their feelings about the strike clear.

"You’ve still got it, JT,” one supporter said.

"When is [Frank] Lampard signing you?”

Another commented: “Sign him up again.”

While a third made a big suggestion.
