Fleetwood set to be boosted by return of international trio for Tranmere visit

Fleetwood are set to have Harry Souttar, Dan Mooney and Billy Crellin available again after international duty for Saturday’s visit of Tranmere.
Forward Mooney helped Wales Under-21s beat Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday while defender Souttar was part of the Australia squad that defeated Jordan last week.
Goalkeeper Crellin, meanwhile, impressed for England Under-20s in their 3-0 win over Iceland in midweek, having also started Fleetwood’s FA Cup win at Barnet on November 10.
Regular keeper Alex Cairn returned to the side for the 5-2 Leasing.com Trophy win over Oldham and manager Joey Barton must decide whether to start him or 19-year-old Crellin against Rovers.
Tranmere manager Micky Mellon is dealing with a host of injury problems ahead of the clash.
David Perkins (hamstring) and Liam Ridehalgh (foot) are both doubtful after missing Wednesday’s FA Cup first-round replay win over Wycombe.
Calum Woods also sat out that match but returned to training and could be fit enough to be involved at Highbury Stadium.
Ishmael Miller, Evan Gumbs, Mark Ellis, Harvey Gilmour, Jordan Ponticelli and Ollie Banks are all sidelined with injuries.
