Minnows Maldon won’t have Parish counsel in cup clash with Newport

Seventh-tier Maldon and Tiptree will be without goalscorer Danny Parish as they look to cause an upset against Sky Bet League Two club Newport in the second round of the FA Cup on Friday evening.
The Essex part-timers progressed in the tournament when beating Leyton Orient, another League Two side, in their debut first-round appearance.
Parish was responsible for one of the two goals Wayne Brown’s team put past Orient, but a subsequent red card leaves him suspended and therefore unavailable.
Jorome Slew provided the second goal and can expect to feature again alongside Charlee Hughes, with the two forwards having claimed 46 goals collectively this term.
Newport will be boosted by the availability of Josh Sheehan, who missed their 1-0 defeat by Oldham on Saturday as he served a one-match suspension.
Sheehan could be reintroduced to the squad as manager Michael Flynn chooses between goalkeepers Tom King and Nick Townsend.
Townsend has so far retained his spot in the team after deputising when King was called up to represent Wales over the international break.
County are likely to be without both Mickey Demetriou and Ade Azeez as both players are sidelined with long-term injuries.
