Shrewsbury manager Sam Ricketts could have forward Daniel Udoh available for Saturday’s FA Cup tie with Mansfield.
Udoh has been sidelined since being forced off during the draw with Gillingham on October 22 but has returned to training and could feature in the second round clash.
Sean Goss is also back in training but Saturday’s game is likely to come too soon for the midfielder.
Shaun Whalley remains sidelined by a calf injury but is closing in on a return.
Mansfield manager John Dempster hopes to have midfielder Neal Bishop available for the trip to Shrewsbury.
Bishop has missed the last three games due to a back problem and tonsillitis but returned to training on Tuesday.
Defender Hayden White remains sidelined but a scan has revealed that he does not need to have the metal rod removed after breaking his leg earlier this season.
Danny Rose is also out for three weeks while fellow forward Craig Davies will appear in more reserve games before featuring for the first team.
