Ryan Jackson to be assessed ahead of Colchester’s clash with Salford

Colchester will assess the fitness of full-back Ryan Jackson before the visit of Salford.
Jackson limped out of the midweek Leasing.com Trophy defeat against Stevenage after damaging his foot.
Colchester boss John McGreal said Jackson had been nursing the injury over the past few weeks and Tom Lapslie could deputise in the Sky Bet League Two fixture.
Goalkeeper Dean Gerken and striker Luke Norris seem set to return after being rested in midweek, while Michael Fernandes has been recalled to the first-team squad after impressing for the Under-23s.
Salford have Mani Dieseruvwe back on league duty after the striker missed the goalless draw with Macclesfield two weeks ago through suspension.
Dieseruvwe is Salford’s second-highest goalscorer in the league this season with three.
Ammies boss Graham Alexander says the 3-0 midweek win over Wolves Under-21s in the Leasing.com Trophy allowed him to give several players valuable game time.
But goalkeeper Chris Neal, defenders Ibou Touray and Nathan Pond and top scorer Adam Rooney are among those ready to return after being rested on Tuesday.
